Bathroom and shower remodeling in Detroit.
Walk-in showers, walk-in tubs and accessible bathroom remodels in Detroit and the surrounding suburbs. We are a Michigan company. The people who quote your bathroom are the people who build it, and we know what sits behind the walls in Detroit homes because we have opened a great many of them.
Detroit housing stock
What we expect to find in your bathroom.
This is not a template with a city name dropped into it. It is what the housing stock here is genuinely built from, and how that changes the work.
Brick bungalows and their 5-foot alcoves
A huge share of Detroit's housing went up between the 1920s and the 1950s, and the bathrooms follow a pattern: a single upstairs bath, a five-foot alcove, a cast-iron tub, and plaster over lath rather than drywall. The alcove is almost never square, which is why we bring a trimmable wall system to most of these jobs rather than hoping a fixed panel lands.
Cast iron, and how it comes out
The original tub in one of these houses commonly weighs 250 to 350 pounds and will not fit through the bathroom door intact. We break it in place under a tarp with the surrounding surfaces protected. It is loud for about twenty minutes and it is completely routine.
Galvanized supply lines
In pre-1960 stock, galvanized steel supply is common and it corrodes from the inside. We look at what is behind the wall before we commit to tying into it, and if the honest answer is that a run needs replacing before anything new goes in, we will tell you that rather than find out the hard way at 4pm on install day.
One bathroom, one household
Many of these homes have exactly one full bath. Tell us at the consultation and we schedule to keep the outage to the shortest possible window and tell you precisely which days you need a plan.

Finishes
Finishes we install.
Three solid surface tiers and more than twenty finishes, with the physical samples brought to your house.
How we work
Quality. Precision. Built to last.
Three commitments that decide whether a bathroom still performs in year fifteen or begins failing quietly behind the wall in year three.
Quality
Solid surface wall systems with the color running through the full thickness, bases set in a full mortar bed, corrosion-resistant hardware throughout. A shower specified down to a price is a shower you buy twice.
Precision
Bases set dead level and pitched to the drain. Panel seams cut to the wall rather than closed with caulk. Grab bars anchored into structural blocking. Precision is invisible by definition, which is exactly why it is the first thing a cheaper crew gives up.
Built to last
Water finds every shortcut eventually. We waterproof behind the surface and detail the corners properly, so the wall cavity is still dry long after the day we hand the room over.
